Take a step back in time: Casa de La Condesa

Welcome to Mexico City, or as we locals refer to it, "DF" which stands for Distrito Federal. Mexico City is famous for being the most populous city in the world, and in many ways, it has become just as much of a modern metropolis as any other city on Earth. Those of us who have lived here for generations, however, remember what Mexico City once was. At Casa de La Condesa, we have tried to preserve some of that tradition and culture within our charming Mexico City Hotel.

Located in a quiet residential neighborhood called La Roma, Casa de La Condesa quietly blends into the scenery in a quaint plaza with a large fountain. Plaza Luis Cabrera is a popular place among locals, who know that in this safe neighborhood they can casually stroll along and observe the sidewalk cafes and bars. In fact, located just next to the entrance of Casa de La Condesa is an authentic Gelateria where you can enjoy a wide variety of Ice Cream and Gelato flavors.

Entering into Casa de La Condesa is unlike the entrance of any other Mexico City Hotel. Right away you will notice that our hotel does not stand out and scream its name. We have done this on purpose in order to maintain its residential feel. Instead you will find a hand painted tile sign that says "Casa de la Condesa". Just ring the bell and we will buzz you in. You will enter a hallway painted in traditional Mexican style lined with original artwork from the family who owns the hotel. In fact, you will find original family owned artwork throughout the entire hotel, giving Casa de la Condesa its authentic traditional ambience.

The hotel itself is built in a courtyard style and the courtyard serves as the central meeting place for all our guests. With the traditional Mexican fountain in the center of the ivy lined walls, the courtyard of Casa de La Condesa is a tranquil sanctuary away from the bustling city where our guests enjoy snacks and fresh squeeze juices from the kitchen.

Thank you for visiting us, and we hope to have you stay with us soon.
